French Update!

Today students wrote their verb test. Hooray! We are done covering verbs for this term! Good job class! Next we will be moving on to the different types of sentences: declarative, exclamative, et interrogative. This should be much more fun for the students.

In science, I have graded the excursion worksheets and comprehension questions and the students did a really great job! We will discuss the answers found tomorrow, and move on with the habitats unit, discussing what plants and animals need to survive, and how these factors might be similar.

In social sciences, we have recently finished doing an overview of the physical regions of Canada.Soon the students will be asked to pick a province and do a short research project about the province they have chosen. The outline and expectations of this will be handed out to students ahead of time, and they will also be given a worksheet to use. Computer lab time will also be provided.

In art, students have learned the different types and principles of the line, and how they can manipute these and use variety to create an interesting piece that expresses an emotion. Next, we will study color, another important artistic element.

I truly hope that this update gives you a good idea of how things are progressing in the French section of 4A. I am very pleased with the way students are developing in the class and have noticed many improvements in their comprehension and writing abilities. Again, Great Job Class! I am very proud of all your continued efforts!
