As I mentioned in my last post, we have started our Measurement Unit for Math. Part of this unit requires students to measure lines and shapes on paper as well as objects within the classroom. It would be very helpful if each student could have a ruler to use at school (and one at home for homework). I have a few that are available for students to use during class time but they must remain at school. If you would like, your child can bring their ruler back and forth on days when I assign homework.
Any ruler will work as long as it has centimetres and millimetres since these are the two most common units we will be measuring. As well, some students find it easier to use a transparent ruler so that they can see the lines through the ruler.
