Today students continued to work on the advertisements for their invention, creation, or redeveloped product. The advertisement is in the form of either a poster/print ad or a radio commercial. Students will begin to present their ideas at the end of the week.

In Math, we reviewed conversion and the Metric Stairs. I have a picture that I have been trying to post so that you can use the metric stairs at home but it will not allow me to post it on the site. Instead, I found a link that has a picture. This version though has "Base" instead of "Meters" and you can disregard the numbers in red. The version we have in class also has ×10 for the arrow pointing down the stairs and ÷10 for the arrow pointing up the stairs. This is simply a way to help students remember what they need to do when converting these units of measurement.

After reviewing these concepts, students were given the rest of the block to work on a one page quiz. I told them about this quiz yesterday and I explained that I just want to see where they are at right now. We will still be having a test at the end of the unit. Due to some distractions this afternoon (including technical difficulties), I will be giving the class some extra time to finish this quiz tomorrow. It will not be an entire block but it should be enough time to complete the questions.
